Poetry: Close Some Doors

The key is worn—Like the past you hold.

A door LEFT open, swaying back and forth.

Move forward, close the PAST behind you.

Slip a key into the hole and lock it.

There is another door—to a future,

waiting for your entrance.

Step through it and take a chance.

Grasp a new chapter of life.

It might be so worth while.
