Poetry: Walking the Board

a love poem of remembrance…

When we met, it felt as if,
a thousand stars collided.
To bring him and me under,
this dark sky at the same time.
And now we stroll coffee in hand,
with an umbrella giving cover,
and walking the board like so many times before.
Leaving our footprints of love,
etched in the planks of this boardwalk.
