Poetry: Blue Smiles

wandering golden fingers

grope for an opening,

through grey

and white cotton balls.

delicate blue flowers

raise tiny heads and smile

at an embracing sun.

  1. I must be getting punchy, Linda. The first lines conjured images in my mind of Mr Goldfinger, and I thought, ‘Where’s 007?’ – so happy to discover it was the warm, sweet sun!

  2. Very cool! I often include the color blue with the things I write. I have one I wrote A deeper Shade of Blue. I wrote it like 12 years ago and just finished a couple of months ago. Very nice!
